2025
A night that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I waited nearly 3 months for this show. Leading up to it, I had never anticipated anything more. I met with the owners, contacted the staff, whatever needed to be done to ensure this process went as smoothly as possible.
I never go into any situation expecting things to go perfectly but this? This night, this show, the energy, this was about as damn close to perfection as I'll probably EVER get. From the lights to the stage, her presence while performing, I don't feel up until this point I've EVER had a more complete shoot. But if ever I was going to, I made sure that this was it. And I feel these photos perfectly encapsulate that.
Orion Sun LIVE! @ Saturn

The stage was illuminated with hues of orange, red, and yellow, almost mimicking a sunrise and sunset as the show neared closer and closer to its conclusion. As it shined down, it offered a soft glow to Orion and her skin. Although artificial, it looks natural in a way I can't explain. It just feels right. I can try and try and try to make you feel what it is these photos make ME feel, but putting it bluntly: you just had to be there, man.

I'm proud and I feel privileged to say I had the honor of photographing Orion's first concert in Birimingham, Alabama, but I hope so badly that this won't be my last time getting to do so. I look forward to your eventual return, but if this is the last time I ever get to do so, I hope I did right by ya. Know that I enjoyed every minute and I wouldn't change a thing. Safe travels.
